Strath of Appin Primary is a rural, non-denominational school situated in the North Lorn area of Argyll on the West coast of Scotland. Its location is one of geographical and historical importance and it is surrounded by outstanding scenery. We are roughly halfway between Oban and Fort William. The area was immortalised by Robert Louis Stevenson in his novel 'Kidnapped', part of which was based on a real-life political murder that took place in Appin in the years immediately after the Battle of Culloden. It has also been used as a setting for a number of films. Find out more about our school.
